A multinational Spanish banking group, BBVA is the second largest Spanish bank. It occupies the 7th place among the Western financial institutions. Its market capitalization totals more than 61 billion Euro.

Over the years of its activity the bank has expanded overseas and now is present in 40 countries. The bank has the dominant position in Latin American countries as other Spanish institutions. It is rather powerful in the states of the Southern Europe, Portugal and Italy in particular. BBVA has recently announced its intention to increase its presence in Asia and the USA.
